Dwelling in Coherence

Your home is a living system - one that influences your emotions, nervous system and overall well-being.

Your Home as an Ecosystem

There is a dialogue between your body, psyche and dwelling occurring at all times. By exploring the patterns held in your internal and external architecture, and listening to their ongoing conversation, your space and self can synchronize.

Home is where you have the most agency—not only over how things look, but how you cultivate your life in small, precious moments. True luxury is owning those moments; that’s where the power lies. Your home is where you lay the groundwork for how you live and move in the world. By designing your environment and daily rhythms with care, you rewire your neural network and create a new template of living.

Your home holds more than furniture and objects—it holds meaning, memory, story and the shape of your daily life. Through a blend of nervous system education, holistic coaching and intentional space design, you uncover how your home environment, and how you interact with it, affects every facet of your life and how it can guide you toward dwelling in coherence.

What We Do

The Somatic Home is a deeply personal, experiential approach that highlights the impactful relationship of your inner world and living space. Through guided coaching style sessions, we explore how your nervous system and your environment affect each other, shaping your sense of safety, presence and vitality. We tend to the deep currents of your life- revealing how space reflects and reinforces the stories, patterns and states within you. And we discern how you can influence and arrange your space to reflect who you truly are—not who you’ve been by default.

The process is relational, body-based and rooted in lived experience. Each session weaves somatic practices with space inquiry, nervous system regulation and values-based reflection. This work bridges the seen and unseen—body and space, matter and meaning. It’s not just about design, and it’s not just about somatics. It’s about what happens when the two meet. We call it The Body-Mind-Environment connection.

We follow a carefully considered framework, but the process itself is organic and intuitive—arising from your rhythms, your needs and the story of your home. In a session, you may find yourself decluttering what has grown stagnant, refining your personal aesthetic, focusing on nervous system regulation or rekindling connection with the natural world around your home. Over time, this work strengthens your capacity to notice, to choose and to make changes that are both subtle and profound. The work is not only cognitive; it's felt, anchored and practiced in real time.

The Somatic Home is not about trends, fixing or perfection. It’s about coherence—between self and space, values and arrangement, inner and outer life. It invites you to slow down, to listen, and to move from habit into intentionality. You create a home that reflects your spirit, supports your nervous system and holds you and your family with beauty. This is a devotional practice—a reclamation of agency through the ordinary magic of your daily life. It’s about building capacity, fluency and resilience in both your environment and your body and creating a home that fosters true and lasting well-being.

Why It Works

Your nervous system is always listening. It scans your surroundings for subtle cues of safety or threat, shaping your internal state moment by moment, usually without conscious awareness. This is called neuroception, and it plays a powerful role in how safe, supported or overwhelmed you feel.

This ancient system was excellent at keeping our ancestors alive—tracking threats on the wind, leaping into action when the shadows stirred. But in our modern world, where the dangers are diffuse and relentless, the nervous system often gets caught in a loop of vigilance, unable to return to the hearth of rest and repair.

In the larger world, you have little control over the constant stream of stimulation and information entering your internal sphere. But at home, it’s a different story. This is your domain—your place of influence. Your home is your external nervous system. By harnessing its potential through simple practices and thoughtful design, your environment can support a resilient and flourishing life. When you begin to notice the unconscious cues your body is responding to, you can tend to your space with intention and create signals of safety and inspiration.

These signals don’t just soothe—they re-pattern. Over time, this fosters neuroplasticity—your brain and body’s natural ability to rewire in response to consistent, supportive environmental cues. We are not seeking to only calm the system, but to build its capacity and flexibility.

When your home and nervous system are synchronized, lasting change becomes possible—felt in your body, reflected in your space and sustained through your daily life.

Within every human heart is a homing device with a gravitational pull to the intact blueprint of home.

We’re Glad You’re Here

We are Nicteha and Jessica, co-creators of Salt + Gold: The Somatic Home — a practice rooted in the belief that true restoration begins by coming home to the body and the spaces we dwell in. Our work lives at the intersection of somatics, design, ritual, and the everyday rhythms that nourish a sense of belonging.

With backgrounds in bodywork, coaching, design, and herbal medicine, our paths have been shaped by deep initiations—illness, loss, motherhood, and the long search for rootedness. Through years of study and lived experience, we've come to see “home” not just as a place, but as a living practice. Together, we support others in creating environments—both internal and external—where they can truly dwell, restore and come alive.

When home becomes the core of our lives again, is laid out and adorned with intention and consciously cared for, it becomes a source of deep safety and an accurate mirror of our true nature.

Beauty is Your Birthright. Home Belongs to Everyone.

Beauty and home are fundamental to being human, not luxuries for the few.

We do not speak of curated surface beauty found in glossy magazines, but the kind that hums beneath everyday life—

the flicker of candlelight,

the first spring blossoms,

a curtain stirred by the summer breeze,

the whispering hush of dusk.

This beauty lives all around you, waiting for your senses to turn toward it. It can be found everywhere and is freely given to those who choose to perceive and tend it.

This is not another self-improvement project: this is a call to remember your original home in the smallest of gestures.

Folding a blanket,

washing a bowl,

sweeping the floor

— these can all become quiet luxuries, rituals of belonging.

Beauty and home are not distant ideals to be earned, they are already here, always available

Wherever and however you live —whether in a house, a van, a teepee, or something in between, your space matters and can become a vessel of everyday enchantment.  This process is for everyone, and anyone, hoping to remember how to make a dwelling truly feel like home.

The Call Home

The Somatic Home Origins

Bright hallway with a wooden ceiling, white walls, and large windows, decorated with potted plants, an area rug, and sitting area at the end.

This is not a project built from borrowed theories or institutional blueprints. It was shaped in the raw, unfiltered crucible of lived experience, where true wisdom is earned, not given. Its roots grow deep—through loss, transformation, and the long walk back to the body. Its teachers have not been found in lecture halls, but in the quiet initiations of grief, relationship, and the wild intelligence of the nervous system.

This is not a top-down endeavor. It is knowledge grown from the roots up—through presence, through practice, through learning how to stay. It’s an offering grounded in the body, in the language beneath language, in the sacred work of returning.

Those who carry this kind of knowing may not speak every industry word, but they can read the silent scripts of the heart. They decipher what is unsaid. They draw out—like a black salve—what is ready to be released, and what is aching to be realized. They are code readers. Resonance discerners. Nurses of the human heart.

What they offer is not performance, but presence—not instruction, but deep invitation.

This coaching space is for those ready to come home to themselves—through the body, through truth, and into coherence.

To make true impact in the larger world, we must start with where and how we dwell. The Somatic Home offers a map to guide you home!
